On the afternoon of Wednesday, 18th December, the Revolution Events team came together for a heartwarming charity afternoon just before breaking for the Christmas holidays. The afternoon was a brilliant display of teamwork and festive cheer, with each team member playing an integral role in the activities.
The charity afternoon featured a variety of offerings for the other offices in the building. From shoulder massages to car washes, and a premade festive quiz to take home for holiday fun, there was something for everyone. A delicious array of baked goods was also on offer, including cheese twists, cupcakes, brownies, luxury hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows, and Anji’s famous cheesy dots – a crowd favourite!
Thanks to the enthusiastic participation and generous donations, the team raised an astounding £506.30, smashing their initial target of £200. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported the afternoon and contributed to this incredible total.
All proceeds have been donated to Cancer Research UK, a cause close to many hearts. The funds raised will help make a tangible difference:
- £100 can pay for a patient’s biopsy, aiding in the early detection of cancer.
- £250 can purchase a specialized device that separates blood samples into different cell types, allowing scientists to study cancerous cells more effectively.
- £500 can fund the Cancer Chat online forum for a day, providing a vital safe space for individuals to discuss any aspect of the disease.
Cancer is unpredictable and impacts countless lives. By coming together, we’ve helped to provide support, hope, and progress in the fight against this disease.
