Position:  Telemarketing & Event Support – Temporary Contract to June 2022

Hours:  Part-time position – 1 to 2 days a week, 9.00am – 5.00pm (1 hour lunch)

Location:  Hawkwell Barn, Maidstone Road, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN2 4AG, UK

Note: This is a semi-rural location requiring private transport for access.

Salary:  Dependent on experience

Job Description:

Working within a busy event management company across a successful portfolio of B2B exhibitions, conferences and awards, this customer-facing position supports several key stages of the event management process, including:

  • Contacting relevant companies via telephone to assess their interest in attending events, as either a delegate or an exhibitor (not cold calling)
  • Knowledge of Excel to record notes
  • Updating CRM system where applicable
  • Accurate data entry into operational documents used for event bookings
  • Management of data groups in Excel to be imported into the email management portal
  • Using existing and new skills to create exciting and vibrant marketing resources for the events
  • Maintaining social media activity promotion for sponsors for a number of events
  • Create event infographics using online tools such as Canva
  • Assisting the event teams with pre-event activities such as bag stuffing, franking mailings and packing boxes for transport

Essential Skills:

  • Organised and methodical approach
  • Strong inter-personal skills & clear telephone manner (for client liaison)
  • Good level of IT-literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus online tools)
  • Experience of a CRM system an advantage
  • Experience of email management system an advantage
  • Marketing knowledge an advantage
  • Friendly ‘can do’ attitude
