It Futures 2006 to put innovation & creativity back on the strategic it agenda.
IT Futures 2006, the most exclusive IT executive forum in the UK, will take place this year on the 21st of November at the Russell Hotel in London.
London, UK – Now in its second year, IT Futures is the UK's most innovative and forward-thinking IT forum, aimed at bringing together 150 senior IT professionals from blue chip organisations to push forward the strategic IT agenda. Hailed as an extremely valuable experience by past attendees, IT Futures 2006 will again comprise an intensive programme of inspirational keynotes, focused debates and interactive workshops on specific business and technology themes, plus a special IT Leaders' lunch and post-event drinks reception.
With an overall theme of “Innovation vs Risk Management”, this year’s event will kick off with a fascinating opening session from Stephen Attenborough, Head of Astronaut Relations at Virgin Galactic, on the challenge of managing risk on board the world’s first commercial passenger space flights.
Lunch will be spiced up with some original food for thought from Trevor Baylis, acclaimed inventor of the Clockwork Radio and champion of homegrown innovation, discussing why UK plc needs to maintain its creative spirit in order to survive within the emerging world economy.
Dr Robert Heller, creative business thinker and world-renowned author of best-seller The Naked Manager and the Essential Managers series, will focus his closing address on creating a culture of ‘safe’ innovation through effective management techniques.
During the day, a series of highly topical and interactive workshops will encourage attendees to discuss pressing IT issues, stimulate creative resolutions and spark a host of new ideas.
To maximise interactivity and networking opportunities amongst participants, IT Futures will use a state-of-the-art wireless messaging and voting system. Each delegate will receive at registration a SpotMe device for contacting other delegates, arranging meetings and exchanging business cards throughout the day.
This year’s event has been facilitated by forward-thinking sponsors such as BT, Modcomp and Sun Microsystems.
