“This event was time very well spent - the speakers were inspirational and the networking was excellent. If, like me, you have very little time in your diary to attend conferences - I can thoroughly recommend  making time for this one, it was a greater thought booster!”

HR Director, Orange Group

HR Futures 2006 to reveal what lies ahead for HR professionals

HR Futures 2006, the most exclusive HR executive forum in the UK, will take place this year on the 12th of September at the Russell Hotel in London.

London, UK – HR Futures, now in its third year, is the UK's most innovative and forward-thinking HR forum, aimed at bringing together 200 senior HR professionals from blue chip organisations to push forward the strategic HR agenda. Hailed as an extremely beneficial experience by past attendees, HR Futures 2006 will again comprise an intensive programme of inspirational keynotes, focused workshops, special lunchtime debate and an informal drinks reception after the closing address.

Angela O’Connor, HR Director for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), will take the Chair at this year’s event, welcoming the delegates and “setting the scene” for the day. The day will open with a special session on “Change Management: Employee Engagement is the Key”, presented by Archie Norman, former executive of major businesses such as Asda, Energis and Kingfisher plc, ex-Conservative MP and one of the UK’s most respected business executives.

James Bellini, world-renowned futures analyst and first British member of the renowned US-headquartered futurology 'think-tank', the Hudson Institute, will give a unique insight into what the future holds with his closing session “2020 Vision: HR Challenges for 21st Century Business”. More food for thoughts will be delivered during the seated silver-service lunch by Professor Heinz Wolff, Scientist, Inventor and Broadcaster, taking a lateral look at managing people in the Digital Age.

During the day, two tracks of highly topical and interactive workshops will encourage attendees to discuss pressing HR issues, stimulate creative resolutions and spark a host of new ideas.

Additionally, to maximise networking opportunities amongst participants, HR Futures will use a state-of-the-art wireless messaging and voting system. Each delegate will receive at registration a SpotMe device for contacting other delegates, arranging meetings and exchanging business cards throughout the day.

This year’s event has been facilitated by forward-thinking sponsors such as BT, Crone Corkill, FSS, Mary Gober International and Northgate Information Solutions.

HR Futures 2006 is due to take place at The Russell Hotel, London, on the 12th of September 2006. Places at the event are offered completely free-of-charge to qualifying professionals. For more information please visit www.hr-futures.co.uk.
